Liz Sketch Cover Commission: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 (4th Printing, 2024)

Choose the character you want on this comic blank! The following four finishes are available:

SKETCH: It's just a sketch! Might throw some gold or silver paint on it if the piece really calls for it.

INK: Inked sketch! Black ink and another color for contrast.

WATERCOLOR/GOUACHE: A fully painted piece in these water-soluble mediums!

OIL: My favorite! Oil painted covers are wildly different from everything else. Since oil paint needs to be able to breathe to cure, these pieces should not be graded or slabbed. When I use oil paint on a comic blank, I carefully detach the cover and mount the paper onto a matte plastic film before sealing it with PVA size for painting. This both protects the interior pages from the paint and adds a bit more real estate to the surface area of the piece to aid in framing. You will receive the book whole, with all its pages intact, and a custom mat cut to fit a standard-size frame.
