    Gut punch

    The bonds between characters are so well written. They’re believable being in a supernatural situation, which in my experience is difficult for writers to pull off this flawlessly. Also, the world building is done in a way in such a way that you the reader aren’t bludgeoned to death. It’s peppered in when needed.
